oil pump replacement

does anyone know right off hand what needs to be done to replace the oil pump for '91 sl? do i need to drop the whole subframe? also, how much trouble would it be to do it myself, with the right tools?

oil pan has to come off (ie starter, exhaust f-pipe, engine to trans brackets), you can just remove that side of the sub frame (is only one strait section will not disturb the suspension) and of course the timing set to gain access, the only difficult part is setting up the timing and making sure you put enough tension back on the belt, not to much and not to little, other then that just get a good book and follow the directions, hope this helps
