Instrument cluster bulbs

Has anybody ever managed to find a replacement bulb for the T 14V3W bulb or for the TSD 74. ??

The so far I have tried pretty much every bulb I have been able to find in the part stores and nothing fits. The 74 bulb that everybody sells is too big, actually the wedge base is not long enough so the bulb expands the socket when it is installed and then it will no longer fit in the instrument cluster.

A few people have opted to upgrade the bulb to a led unit. Although I'm unsure of the type and size. It also allows you to change the color if desired.

They will have to chime in with the details.

If you need factory replacement bulbs I would suggest going to the dealer to save your self the headache of a universal bulb not fitting.

If you are trying to change the illumination of your cluster you have a different issue on your hands.
