The following is a message from Jeremy Gleason. He is the organizer/coordinator of this event.

This is a quick email with some important clarifications and updates for the
National Gathering.

I BEG YOU TO READ THIS WHOLE EMAIL!

First the UPDATES:

We have 110 cars and close to 200 people officially signed up and PAID
already.
49 cars are signed up for the DRAG RACE (limit is 100!!)
49 cars are signed up for the AUTOCROSS (limit is 75)
16 cars are signed up for the ROAD COURSE (limit 24)

The secondary hotel has only 23 more rooms left. After that, you guys are on
your own... I'm telling you there aren't any other hotels in this area at
that price, that are clean and safe. I URGE you to book your room TODAY!!

The drag race, autocross and road course is filling up FAST, the limit is
100 cars. That means if you want to do any of those events, YOU NEED TO SIGN
UP RIGHT AWAY. Now, even though they are filling up FAST, I'm a little
concerned with only 49 signed up for the drag race. Next week, I have to
sign a contract to pay the drag race location $3500 for rental of the
facilities. I have to be ASSURED that we'll have that turnout. I can't be
stuck with a couple thousand dollars owed (I think you'd understand that).
So if you are drag racing SIGN UP RIGHT NOW. Don't wait!

The deadline for signup at the current prices is JULY 10. I'm sorry to have
to do this but we can't be smashed with last-minute signups. It's taking me
(and Tiffany) at least 15 minutes PER PERSON signed up, to do all the
required paperwork and tracking. We are going to be EXTREMELY BUSY the last
couple weeks prior to the event so we can't handle the last-minute signups.

Remember, folks, we are making NO PROFIT on this thing, we've already spent
300+ hours (combined)
on putting this together. All we are asking is for you to sign up AHEAD OF
TIME so we can actually ENJOY the event along with you!

Additionally, we have to order t-shirts on JULY 15 in order to get them here
in time for the Gathering. If we allow signups after July 10 (and that's a
BIG IF) then you won't get a t-shirt at the gathering, and you'll have to
pay to have it shipped to you afterwards.

Now, I have to be a little cranky for a moment. There are over 400 cars
signed up on the pre-signup list. Multiple times I asked people to email me
if they probably won't be coming. I received around 35 emails. 20 other
emails are bouncing back to me. There's 110 signed up. So if you take the
110, plus 35 plus 20, that's 165 cars accounted for. That leaves WELL OVER
200 CARS UNACCOUNTED FOR.

Who are those 200+ cars? Not sure you're coming? Changed your mind? Coming
but just waiting for the last minute to sign up? I don't know...

But that's why I'm BEGGING everyone to PLEASE sign up NOW. Or if you've
changed your mind and can't come then PLEASE LET ME KNOW. We're planning on
300 cars (that's less than 75% of the people on the pre-signup list)... but
we really need to know if there's going to be less than that!

I have to say we are EXTREMELY EXCITED about this event. We've put a lot of
work into it, and we may complain, but believe me, it will be worth it!
Local media (TV/Newspaper) are all excited to cover the events, and there's
still a possibility of coverage in the big Magazines.

(Brandon) from the 3SI board was in a very serious accident this afternoon.
The info is sketchy and many possibly uninformed people are posting on the
message boards with (unreliable?) information. Akira seems to be the only
3SI member with first-hand info, and Brandon's sister is posting on another
bulletin board. As of 9pm EDT, the last word is that he's "sleeping", has
broken ribs and possibly a head injury of some sort. His sister seemed
pretty upbeat in her last post, but we still need to keep Brandon in our
thoughts and prayers. A thread at 3SI will keep you updated:
