same thing happened to my 92 dodge stealth r/t non turbo. i drove it ot the store the other night and the car ran perfect. came out of the store, the engine cranked and cranked but wouldnt start. has no spark at the coils. what could be the cause? and in what order should i diagnose the problem?

To verify no spark you pull a plug wire and hold it over the coil while someone cranks the engine to see if a spark arcs from the coil to the plug wire. Some form of hand insulation is recomended, and you should do this for all three coils.
Depending upon whether you only have spark on one or two coils or no spark at all will determine your starting point.

ok i didnt get to talk to the garage much due to being incredibly busy (hence why its in the garage, i dont honestly have any time except the 1 1/2 hrs of sun light a day til saturday and being out of town all next week) and apparently it was a sensor behind the timing belt (cam sensor)?? hope this helps. sure with a little research i didnt get time to do yet will help out.
