Testpipe will help with the tone, and give you a nice 10-15 fwhp. If you want one let me know, i have an extra one that i will get rid of for $40 shipped.

If you want new mufflers, N1's are awesome, contact Ty from speedfactor.

Downpipe should be all you need.

How about 5-8. Now they do make your tone deeper and louder than hell. It will help out your top end a bit too.

i want to be heard, not laughed at;)

it is sad to hear some of the hondas and 4 banger cars in general.i realize most of the kids who drive them know dick about what they are doing, but i wish they would try and make their cars sound better than what they do.the avenger i owned had some intake and exhaust work done to it and it sounded really well for a 4 cyl, real deep tone that made it sound like a v-6.

I ran into a kid yesterday with a stock Civic EX. We started talking cars and he asked me about what he could do to his car to give him a little more mmmmmph on the freeway.

I told him about the basics, intake, headers, exhaust, and he was pretty cool. I told him once he gets all of that to make sure he gets a nice loud muffler.

He was like NO. I hate those little things. They sound like crap on a 4 cylinder car. I said, some of them can sound good. He goes on your car, but not on this one.

Pretty cool guy. He should be coming to check out this forum.

If you want it loud, install one of the Magnaflow straight through race mufflers. I did and my car is VERY loud. It's actually too loud for me but I'm an old geezer and not into sound anymore. It did help performance a little though.

I have the Magnaflow also. That MFer is loud as hell. But I love it, sounds real mean:mad:

I've run 2 1/2" pipe from my O2 sensor back. When the headers finally become available, I'm going to run 3" from the collector back. It's really going to get loud then. I may have to put in another magnaflow muffler in the system to make it quieter. They make one specifically for this application. The deep tone should still be there but just knock a few decibels off of it.

Right after the downpipe.

Thanks, but know another question. do after market downpipes/headers remove the O2 sensor? (again, flame at will:D )

No. It's still got to be there.

What he means is you will remove them but you have to put them in the pipes you replace. Some have the mounting hole already to accept the 02 sensor. Some you have to cut and mount. Most will have the hole to replace them though. Just ask.
