I finished putting in the 45,000 volt ignition today. Took a little while but it was not as hard as I thought it was going to be. The real PITA is the spark plug wires.

Things are tighter around the ignition area but no significant changes. I even used the stock bracket. I started to fabricate my own bracket but realized the stock one was able to be used and made things much easier.

As soon as I was done, It started right up on the first crank and idled perfectly. After a few minutes, it did not seem to go into the rich area on the AF meter. Everyone says this is common. It is not that the car is leaner, it is that more fuel is being burned and the sensors register a leaner condition. I have not taken it for any runs because I also started putting in the propane kit and it was still torn apart.

Propane should be in by tomorrow and I will test everything out. I will report back with my results.

so if you put a 45,000 volt ignition in and you didnt have a fuel controller would you start running rich since the sensors are reading a lean ratio

My guess is yes. The car's computer will try to adjust the condition.
