Hey all... I have a largely unmodified 1995 Stealth R/T and want to know if there are any kits that have a new air intake and turbo setup all in the one kit... I also want to know about locating a new hood that has an air ram so I can install an engine-mount intercooler on my future turbos (I am an active rally racer and thusly do not like bumer/low mount intercoolers...)

I have not heard of a kit that is a complete setup.

Oh my the chuckles aren't stopping... Let me more refine my question...

I have found a few air intake kits, and even heard of a turbo kit... but I want something that is both combined because the two items go in prety much together... I don't have much time to do many mods, but I really want to trick it out, therefore I want things as simple as possible without going cheap or having to do the expence of using a mechanic... This isn't my only vehicle, just my play/project vehicle, so off-time doesn't really matter too much with me.

Hope you have lots of cash, because your gonna need it. I don't have much time to do many mods, but I really want to trick it out, therefore I want things as simple as possible without going cheap or having to do the expence of using a mechanic... Its not that "simple" to slap a turbo on there. I am not gonna claim I know how to do this or say it isnt possible, But it is going to be time consuming and cost quite a bit of money. There is a supercharger kit (I forget where) that is right around $4000. That I believe is a "complete" kit.

Call this number and ask for Ty. (215)332-4900 He owns a 3S shop in PA called Speed Factor. He is pretty much an expert on turbo add on's for our cars.

I second that, Ty is a great guy to talk to about any major work that you need done. I have one question for you though. I know you said you were a rally racer and that you want a top mounted intercooler, but do you plan on rally racing with your 3/S? What are the benefits of a top mounted intercooler as opposed to a front mount?

Hell no, I do not plan to rally race in this car... it would bottom out on it's way to the start-line... no... I just prefer a top-mounted intercooler more out of being comfortable with what I know then something else... I also prefer a top-mounted intercooler because having the air forced down into the engine from the top helps to make the air in the engine compartment flow down and out in stead of building preassure as you go faster...

Do we even have room for a TMIC? Just getting a strut bar on there is pretty tight already.

I am sure there are modded hoods for them, or at least I could make one... but that was one of my original questions in this post... where can I find/get a modded hood that allows for a TMIC or at least two small ones on the side where the (for lack of a better word) "nobs" on the 93 stealth and 3kgt's are? Btw... what are those "nobs" for?

Those nob's are actually called hood blisters on the 1st gen models. They were created because the idiot designers didn't notice that the hood would not clear the strut mounts. So they decided to put those on instead. For the 2G models, they incorporated the blisters into the hood as the strut mounts were not lowered or changed. Hence the "nobs".

There is not alot of room under those hood blisters either.
