Hey all -

I just recently bought a used '95 Dodge Stealth R/T with only 79,500 miles on it, and I want to mod it out. I have not had much luck finding any forums or sites about it (other then this one,) but I do know how to do almost anything you tell me to, I just need help knowing what to do. If anyone can tell me where to find some tips/hints/suggestions or give me their own, please feel free to post here or e-mail me.

I am looking for simple up-front help here, and any suggestions for anything that has worked well for anyone... I tried to read this site a little, but with my limited time (I have a girl as well as full time work and full time school,) I couldn't get way too much out of it... I already know about and am planning on the basics like K&N Air Intake Kit and Bolt-On Turbo's... but I know there is more that I can not think about...

Also, It has the 4-speed automatic... any tricks to get more power/take-off/speed out of it without having to get too expencive or go to the trouble of replacing it with a manual?

Welcome aboard. Nice choice in cars. What color is it and do you have any pics?

I have provided you with a link to another thread that basically shows you what mods are available for our cars. It doesn't really get into ATX mods but most of them on there will be able to help you out.
>>>Click Here for the n/a Bible<<< (http://www.us3s.com/freeforum/showthread.php?threadid=24&perpage=15&pagenumber=1)

>>>Click Here<<< (http://www.dynamicracing.com/customer/home.php?cat=24&PHPSESSID=31a70e2128211a36c38aebf7f7d54555) to go to one of our best tuners, Dynamic Racing. There you will find virtually everything you need for your car. This link should take you to the n/a staged upgrades page. You can also look there to get an idea of what things will cost. Note that they might not be the cheapest in the world, but the knowledge, experience, and customer service is awesome.

Personally, I am not to knowledgeable regarding the ATX but I have heard of a torque convertor or something like that which will help you out a bit. Somebody else though should know about that on here.

Once again, welcome aboard and I hope this helps you out.

Welcome. The links are invaluable. Use them. Also ask any question you can.

It is a kind-of pearl white color... no racing stripes or anything special... It does have chrome fender flares, for lack of a better word (they don't widen the fenders, just accent them...)

As far as the car itself, it is in fair condition... It has a few things I want to work out first before I really get to tweaking it...

The body is in perfect condition, and as far as pix, I am working on throwing a small webpage about my ventures/projects in/on it and will then post a link... it will have some pix for ya all...

Also... I have two more questions...

First, I hear that stealths tend to have problems with blown head gaskets and other major engine problems... can anyone tell me about how many miles to expect out of my engine?

Also, when and where are any events where I can take my stealth and meet/hang with other stealth owners who know more about this legacy then I do so I can get and learn some pointers and make new pals? I live in the Northern Bay Area of California, so somewhere close to the general area... hopefull no further north then SAC and no farther south then Santa Cruse/Monterey...

Well... cruise on and enjoy your cars! :car:

Expect over 120,000 miles on the car if it is driven nicely.

Several get togethers all the time. In your area, talk to DJERIC.

Welcome! First, I hear that stealths tend to have problems with blown head gaskets and other major engine problems... I have 130,xxx miles on my car with original engine and tranny with no real problems. I am not 100% sure on the head gaskets giving out on our cars, at least I havent heard of anyone with that problem. I know the 87-91 Supras were notorious for that. For light mods (other than tranny mods) go with intake (K&N), DN intake pipe, UDP, and cat-back exhaust. I have Flowmaster and I love the sound. With those you will feel a noticable difference, at least i did.

I know the Stealth guys are going to get a kick out of me asking if the R/T has DOHC's but if it does, you might want to check if the timing belt has been changed since it has over 60k.
Had my 3000gt since '94 and it's the best car I've ever owned so I know you will be happy with your Stealth, sounds like she is a great ride
