Hi All! Bought my Dodge Stealth R/T TT on Labor Day 2002, 94,970 miles, completely stock but in super condition, just barely noticeable driver's seat bolster wear. It was first registered in IOWA and prolly a woman's car, lots of long hair, melted lipstick, and nail polish drips in the console.

So far: I did the 60K service immediately($900), all fluids changed to Redline($45). Replaced the battery with an Optima Redtop($89), Replaced the shift boot with the JCWhitney($23), Added a Borla catback($400), K&N FIPK($149), 94-99 CF hood (modified to fit my popups with a sabresaw, $150) Added an Autometer boost gauge($50) and single pod($20) and a MBC@14($23), and I bought a Gtech Pro competition to measure true performance gains ($249).

Other than these Basic Performance Upgrades, I'm interested in hearing what would the next best "bang-for-the-buck" upgrades.

I live in California about 9 miles from GTPro, but would like to keep it all smog-legal.

Thanks!

Welcome bud. You seem to be on the right track currently. Best bang for the buck.........for me, it was my UDP but I have heard that you don't feel as much on a TT as you would an NA. What do you think about a down pipe or a lightened flywheel?

I agree. Easiest way to upgrade in smart ways is to go to Dynamic Racing's site and look at their stagged upgrade list. This seems to help most people. Do it right the first time.

what part of Socal you in. I'm in Torrance. If you want a down pipe you would have to get the ATR one to keep is smoggable. The Stillen one is way better, but you would have to change it out before every smog check. It's pretty easy if you don't mind doing the work and the bolts aren't rusty. UDP would be my next guess and then it's hardcore stuff from there. Before you get bigger turbos and such, get a BOV, fuel pump (also hard wire it), injectors and maybe a brake upgrade.

And a big wave of the hand to all forum members from La Mirada, CA... just on the border of LA and Orange counties...

The downpipe suggestion is very timely 'cuz I did notice the flex sections on it are definitely showing some wear-through...

Luckily, living where I do, I have a lot of shops close by.
I've been down to Stillen's showroom and saw the actual 3000gt downpipe... no cats, no flexjoints, and a big metal plate on it that says, "this device is not approved for use on streets or highways" or something like that.

Besides Stillen, I've got GTPRO and also a great DSM shop (roadraceengineering) really close by.

the UDP I'm still not sold on, although I hear Suthnr swears by their use.

Bigger turbo's are definitely in the future... but have to save up for those and all the additional mods...

Maybe I should move this to another forum?

Thanks for the replies though!

Glad to be here! Feels like home already!
