Hello. Can somebody tell me what do i need to swap Mitsubishi 3000GT 6G74 3.5L V6 NON TURBO in to my 1994 Stealth SOHC 5spd ? Is it a bolt on? The engine that i found it says its from 94 and will only work with cam and crank sensor 3000Gt. I got no idea if i need to buy anything else. (i just bought this stealth and on second day thiscar became a headachke for me so i thinking about doing an engine swap)
Thank you for any info

would need a full engine harness and ECM to control it, and been awhile since I looked under the hood of a SOHC so you would have to do more research as to if you could use your 5spd trans (I would suspect yes but not for sure)

Changing the harness is just because he's SOHC right? Would a dual have to?

no, a DOHC would be fine, unless it was a 91-92 and you wanted to upgrade it to the cam/crank sensor's as the 93 and later
yes.

Thank you for info. I just did a little reserch online and i found in one place it says that 6g72 and 6g74 bolts on. But cant find harness . So now i am thinking if i can just use regular harness from Dohc 6g72. Because it says that the engine is out of mitsu Verada/magna

I'm guessing this engine doesn't require the block cutting?

Which years and from what vehicles can 6G74 fit in the 3S? I've heard the Montero, but which years?

with stock mounts you can away without cutting the block

the best is the JDM pulls as you need all the accessories that come with it, john's site is the bible when it comes to 3.5's

Thanks for the info.(ijust had 60K complete tuneup done today). i might actually be selling that car to a friend of my and if not will probably go on with engine swap. But as of right now new problem came up with a car. Speedometer dont work, only the speed part everything else works but no idea what can cause that. I went to 3 parts places to see if they have a speed sensor for my car but the ones they showed me looked totally different from the one i found on a tranny. Maybe i took of a wrong sensor!
Does anybody know where its located exactly?
