I just rebuilt an old 91 twin turbo stealth. I cant get spark to come from cylinders one and four. I think that my crank angle sensor is bad. does anyone know the ohm readings for the crank angle sensor? I have been searching for them all night and have had no luck. Thanks

also if anyone knows where the sensor wires lead from the crank angle sensor to inside of the car that would be very helpful :-) thanks!

just checked all the wires from the crank angle sensor to inside the car and all of the wires are good.... could possibly be ecu? if so anyone know a good place/price for rebuild?

I would be suspecting PTU or bad coil pack

the ptu and coil packs checked out ok, as well as the crank angle sensor.. now I am just worried that its a messed up signal from the ecu. the new motor I put in was from japan. Could that be confusing the ecu or would it have no effect? If so does anyone know how I can check my ecu or where I can send it to get checked? also does anyone know the factor size of the gauges in the gauge cluster for boost and oil temp and pressure?

there is no internal difference between an American and JDM engine, just the lack of emissions components on the JDM, namely O2 sensors, but if you swapped your precats from yours you should be fine

with yours being a 91 I would also be looking at the wiring from the ECU to the PTU and the PTU to the ignition coil, any sign of corrosion and you will need to overlay the wires as they will have to much resistance

all so do not rule out caps leaking inside of the ECU

I have checked all the lines from the ecu, ptu, and coil pack and they are fine. I have never tested an ecu before. Is it complicated to check the caps? and does anyone know where I can take it to get it checked out? I live in richmond, and is there a way to reset the ecu?

also does anyone know stock gauge size for the oil pressure gauge?

the stock gauges are 52mm, 60mm fit with a little coaxing

thanks man! how much harder is it to fit the 60mm gauges in rather than just going with the stock 52's???

if it is a JDM style gauge (greddy, blitz, defi, and the like) they will fit pretty easy, autometer are a PITA

I am getting the prosport peak hold series 60mm gauges. Have you heard anything about them?
