Basic motor change

I have a 91 Stealth. It has over 200k on the motor, still runs fine, I am thinking about changing the engine. It has the scam in it now and i would like to put one in it that has a little more horses. does anyone have a suggestion. I don't want to sink a small fortune or do alot of mods to it. Also it has a 5 speed thanks for any help. Also where would be a good place to look for the engine?

if its a SOHC, put in a DOHC, and a rebuild, bore it out to a 3.1 liter, then you'll have more horses:D

Yap, Its a base model. Can you change the SOHC for a DOHC and keep the same trans. Also how much can i expect to play for a rebuilded DOHC?

If i were you i would contact Ty from speed factor, he has the experiece to do it, and he is a really cool guy, he won't rip you off, and he stands behind his work
