Hello all, I went to test drive a 1993 Stealth today, twin turbo, all wheel drive, sweet ride. The only problem is that I am 6'7", and I didn't fit, I was heart broken. Now, my first question is, 1993 is still 1st gen right?, would the later years be bigger on the inside? All I need is a couple more inches, head room is fine, just my knee can't fit between the steering wheel and centre console. Everything else about the car is awesome though. The stock steering wheel is big, I would prefer a smaller one, this might help. And I was thinking about changing the seats to some basic sparco's. I think with out the electronic adjustment mechanics, that might buy me some extra room. Any ideas please post. Is the steering wheel replacement enough? Anyone in the similar situation? I love this car, and I would love to buy it, but I have to fit, please help, thanks much.

Welcome aboard and sorry to hear that you don't fit. I know of another guy who is also 6'7" and has no problems fitting in his 3KGT.
Regarding the interiors, they would all be the same layout. From 91-96 on the Stealths and from 91-99 on the 3KGT. There is virtually zero differences.
I am 6'0" and understand your thoughts regarding the steering wheel. I personally drive with my knees bent way more than the average person. I scoot my seat forward halfway, but that is what I am used to. They do make aftermarket steering wheels and I am sure that this might alleviate the problem somewhat.
Switching to Sparcos would eliminate all of the bulky electronics underneath and would put you down a little lower to the ground.
You should try the steering wheel switch before you change out the seats though as you may fix it with that alone.

Thanks for the reply. I think most of my problems would be solved by changing the steering wheel, the seat would be of course my last option.
One more question, would the interior of the 3000gt be any different? I know they are the same car, but perhaps the trim is a little different, any idea?

Really the only difference between the two would be switches and electronic controls on the dash area. The seat layout and interior design are identical.

You wouldn't happen to know the size of the stock steering wheel would you?

Not sure of the stock size but I am sure you can go with a 320mm or a 350mm aftermarket one. DJ_Eric_P put a 320mm Momo wheel on his car. I think you will need to purchase a hub adaptor also. This is probably so it doesn't rub against your dash.
Here is a picture of his.

I believe he got his from www.nopi.com , you can check there for Momo products but remember to get the hub adaptor. I think the Eclipse one works also.

Thanks for the pics, that looks killer, a TON more room as compared to the stock wheel, I may be saved after all, yay for me!!
I'll stop cursing my hugeness now, lol.

Still haven't found a Momo adapter for my car. Is it listed under another car?
