im going to buy a Stealth RT/Turbo next month, and would like some tips on buying it. Im looking at them on ebay, this car seems perfect to me...

Is there anything i should know, im willing to spent about 10-12 grand. Where should i be looking, only place i cant find any is ebay :P

The RT/Turbos has 300 HP correct?

Yes one thing to look for.....when you are looking to buy a turbo stealth make sure its the turbo :o The link you have takes you to a non turbo

whoops, yeah i knew that just forgot about that.. that has 222 HP right? so that means turb puts on a good 70-80 HP? damn thats alot :\

1st Generation 3S TT's will have 300 Hp stock. 91-93
2nd Generation 3S TT's will have 320 hp stock. 94-99

One thing you can do is get the vin prior to bidding. Do a carfax on it to see if it's had any problems that you aren't being told about.

It's kind of hard to give an opinion on an eBay car due to the fact that you can't start it up and listen to it or feel it drive.

If you see anymore though, place the ad here so we can give you an opinion. Won't comment on the above since it's a non-turbo and you are looking for a TT.

I was going to say, DO NOT BUY A NON TURBO FOR 10 - 12 G's. If you are looking for a turbo for that much, go for it. One that old should be able to be had for 8 - 10 G's. Keep looking and keep posting so we can see the progress. I bought mine off E-bay but mine was close enough and I got to test it before I bought it.
