I am going to post on what is going on with my polished parts. This is happening on 3Si and I want people to know about it. I will continue to post as it continues. This should be about 5 different posts right now.

-3kgtguy posted this on 07-01-2002 05:14 AM

I had other threads about polishing, but I had them under a different name(woodwrkr22) so I deleted them and put up new threads about polishing under my new name(3kgtguy).Sorry about the confusion.Well anyways I have a brand new shop where we mainly polish aluminum parts and s.s parts. We can also just glass bead parts. We have the best equipment available.I can polish anything that is aluminum. The valve covers are $125 and the intake plenium are $135.Plus a $125 core fee for each until I recieve you stock part.I believe that these prices are better than any other places.I lowered the prices because there is someone else that was doing them for less.I make sure that every pit on the intake plenium is gone and the surface is perfect.I glassbead and fully sand before I polish a part.Just send me your stock valve cover or intake plenium and ill send you a beautiful polished one.Just email me at thumper660r@aol.com or call my cell at 484-354-2100 if you want any parts polished.I will post pics asap.

-10-08-2002 02:11 AM
I have alot of free time over the next couple of weeks so I can do some polishing.I am waiting for all of my parts to come so I can finish my car,but they wont be here for a while.I need to put racing seats in this sometime in the next couple of weeks, put the plenium back on my car(Ill have pics of that tomorrow) and finish taking the engine out of the stealth, but besides that I will have tons of free time. The engine will be out tomorrow, plenium on the next day,and hopefully the seats will be in by the weekend,or beginning of next week.So by the time you take yours off and send it to me I will have all those parts on my car and I will have plenty of time to do polishing.Polishing comes before the car.I will have your parts done and back to you in 2 weeks tops, after I receive them.

-detpac posted on 11-10-2002 04:59 AM
I'm interested but I would like to know how long it would take you to get things done. I seem to have a problem with any work I have done taking 2 - 3 weeks longer than promised.

If you want a front valve cover, rear valve cover,or fuel rails polished I could polish a set that I have and send them to you when they are done. Then you send me your stock parts. Before I polish the parts I would need the money,so I dont end up wasting my time.Let me know what you would like done.BTW I would have them to you in no more then 2 weeks(depending on how many parts)after I recieve payment.

-detpac - 11-17-2002 06:14 AM
How much for the whole setup polished. Front valve cover, fuel rails and plenum? A am willing but only if I receive the parts then send mine.

-3kgtguy - 11-17-2002 06:04 PM
I could do it for $325 shipped back to you.I have a valve cover off of a 92 vr4.Please send me a pic of your plenium to thumper660r@aol.com just to make sure it is the same.

detpac - I havent heard from you. What is going on?

12-07-2002 04:57 PM
3kgtguy - The parts are almost done. They should be ready to ship by monday.I have spent alot of time on them trying to get them to look perfect.

12-07-2002 06:31 PM
detpac - Thanks for the reply.

12-10-2002 08:26 PM
3kgtguy - Hey,I am really sorry but the parts didnt get out yesterday. So what I am going to do is 2nd day them.I will have them to you by monday.Which would be the same if I sent them monday because ups ground takes 7-10 days.I didnt want to rush to have the parts done.

12-10-2002 09:49 PM
detpac - Thanks again. I will be expecting them on Monday.

12-13-2002 02:03 PM
3kgtguy - I went to ship that today through my account with fedex and for some reason they wouldnt ship it because of the address or something.I didnt really understand why.So if you really want me to ship them through another 2nd day, like priority mail,or whatever I can but it will probablly cost me $100 or so because it is not on an account.I have an account with fedex so I get good prices but it didnt work. What do you want to do?They parts would have been done a while ago but between the snow and other things I havent been able to get much done.I am really sorry about all of this but I dont really have much control of it.

12-14-2002 01:23 AM
detpac - Do you need another address? What is wrong with my home address? I just had Fed Ex deliver something 2 nights ago.

12-14-2002 02:04 AM
3kgtguy - I am not sure what happened.I was pretty pissed after they told me because it is like 45 minutes from my house.I had to ship the yesterday because I am going to be out of town till thursday. It was probablly their fault, but I didnt want to fight with them.I am really sorry about this.

12-14-2002 02:09 AM
detpac - What does this mean? Did you send them? Are you going to send them after you get back, on Thursday 12-19-02?

12-14-2002 02:13 AM
3kgtguy - I couldnt send them.I could have done it earlier but I didnt hear back from you.I will have to try to send them again on thursday or friday. The people at fedex are pretty stupid.Has it been 3 or 4 weeks since I recieved the money from you?Things usually take longer then expected.Again I am sorry about this.

12-14-2002 02:22 AM
detpac - OK, I understand about problems. But please do not try and sweep me under the table by saying "Has it been 3 or 4 weeks since I recieved the money from you?Things usually take longer then expected." Didn't you say you needed the money before 10:00 pm the night I sent it in order to buy a Radio Head Unit for your car? Did you say"if you don't send the money, it's ok, things usually take longer than expected."? No. Now, if you can't do this in the time you quote, what are the ramifications? If you think it will take 3 - 4 weeks say so, not the answer or excuse you gave me.

I have sent you money. I was told through you and the PM's that the time frame was 2 weeks for the money by that evening. I lived up to my end of the agreement. Now, I will have to wait even longer. I do not thik this is fair and would like it to be made fair. What do we do now?

3kgtguy - I believe I told you 2-3 weeks originally. The plenium was the part that was holding me up,I wanted it to come out great.I could have done a shitty job and had them to you in 1-2 weeks but I am not that way. Also I spent alot of time cleaning them before I was ready to ship them most people wont do that.3sx sends the parts to you with like a inch thick of compounds and would take you hours to get off.I also did all the parts for $300 shipped which is very cheap.I am making about $200 or so after shipping and products.I have a total of about 50 hours worth of work into these parts.$4 an hour, what the hell.Nobody understands how long it takes to polish something.I will send them thursday or friday depending on when I get home.Other things held me up to,which I have no control over.Sorry again.Trust me they are worth waiting for, they look awesome, just like chrome.

12-14-2002 03:06 AM
detpac - I am willing to wait one more week. I will trust you. After one week I will no longer wait. If you can not deliver what was promised, I would like my money back. If you can, be honest, tell me when and do it. Please do not tell me another excuse.

I do understand about cost, time, labor. My business is with the public. I have found it to be better when I under promise and over return, rather than over promise and under return. Just a piece of advise, If you had told me 4 weeks and got it to me in 3, I would be praising your services on the boards and trying to refer you more work. If you tell me 2-3 and I dont see it for 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 weeks, I will not refer and I will let people know on the boards.

I appreciate the work you have put into this project so as to give me a great product and service, but as I said, tell me what you need. I will not accept a PM in 1 week saying something else went wrong. It would sound too fishy at that point. If it can not be done, please refund my money.

Thanks

detpac - I do not mean to sound like a jerk but you have to understand my position. Put yourself in my shoes.

Especially when I get the parts and you are expecting me to send my cores back to you. We need good business and trustworthy friends. I would like to keep this business relationship good in case I need more items polished and I know several guys around here waiting for my parts, to see how they look so they can order them or not.

Again, I do not want to sound ungrateful, just starting to get suspicious.

12-14-2002 05:11 AM
3kgtguy - I fully understand,it has happened to me many times. So you will tell people that I am not good to deal with or whatever?I have never recieved anything on time.I had parts polished by 3sx a while back. They told me 2-3 weeks, but I didnt get them for 5 weeks.I ordered a catback from DNP,they said 3-4 weeks took 4 months and it came damaged so now it will be another week.I ordered rims, said 1 month got the 3 months later. Each off these times I sent money when I ordered them.I ordered JIC coilovers he said one week now it looks like it will be 2 months. The list goes on and on so I know where you are coming from.I just keep in touch with the people and it was cool.People cant control it.You will be very happy with them, trust me I am not going to rip you off and not send the parts or have them polished like crap.I am not like that at all.

them to you faster. You will love the parts. Thanks

Thumper660r@aol.com - I sent the fuel rails and valve cover today.I put $250 worth of insurance on them,so if anything happens to them let me know. I have had it happen before. I
decided to do some more work on the plenium, so it will go out monday or tuesday. It looked great before but I just wanted to go over it and get it better. Thanks

Thumper660r@aol.com - I forgot to mention that I cleaned the parts some but you must finish cleaning them on the inside and outside. I am not responsible if something happens because the parts were not properly cleaned. thanks

That totally sucks. I fucking hate waitng on parts. Sounds like I will definetly not use this guy, too many excuses and no parts. I would've asked for my money back already. Same shit happened to me when I got my engine rebuild done. He told me 4 - 6 weeks and it was almost 4 -6 months. I told him have my car out front I will come and pick it up with a flat bed. I got there with the flatbed and the shop owner pleaded with me not to take my car and he finally gave me a free turbo timer and other work done for free. I was still pissed and will never have anything done atthat shop again.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I can't believe it takes this long to polish a couple of parts.

I totally agree with you also on this. Tell me how long it's going to take up front. Even if they say it will take 12 weeks, at least be honest and up front.

Do you need the troll patrol to start sending threating e-mails his way? BTW, where does he live?

Thumper660r@aol.com - I have to say that because I dont want to be liable if anything happens due to the parts not being cleaned 100%.There is basically nothing on the
outside of the parts but you will want to finish cleaning the inside. The
plenium will be100% clean and ready to be put on.That is the hardest part to
clean.Sorry it took so long. The plenium should go out tomorrow if I can get there
on time.If not that just gives me more time to clean it and get it good.I
also did a little bit of porting on the manifold.Nothing serious just
cleaned it up as much as possible.

Fri, 27 Dec 2002 00:11:52 EST
Thumper660@aol.com - Did you get the parts?I was waiting to hear from you, just wanted to know if you were happy with them. The valve cover had a couple pits that i
couldnt get out but besides that they were fine. Before you put the parts on you
should hand polish them with mothers aluminum polish.I will send the plenum
when I know that you have received the other parts. You should have gotten them
tuesday.

Fri, 27 Dec 2002 07:23:18 -0800 (PST)
From: "David Trejo" <detpac@yahoo.com> - Give me a break. Yes I received the parts. Now I know I've heard the excuses and I am getting screwed. I have kept every conversation we have had. When are you going to send the Plenum? Just tell me the truth. This is ridiculous. You say one thing, "I will send everything on this day" then you say "I was waiting on you". Send the part. I am happy with the look but am unhappy with the amount of cleaning that has to be done. I am very unsatisfied with the amount of time this has taken you. I will post this on 3Si and US3S as soon as I receive the Plenum, which I do not expect to receive for quite some time. I asked you in the first posts about time and having things take 2 - 3 weeks longer than promised. I was right again. Please send the part now. No more excuses.

-Now I am waiting on his response. I already posted on 3Si that I would be posting this as well. I have not started the thread, but you guys need to hear this first. I'll keep you updated.

Thumper660r@aol.com - I see that you posted on the other 3000gt stealth forum page besides 3si. If you wanted your money back I would have done it.You didnt have to post all of my emails, that will really help my business. It took me longer than expected, sorry but I havent done all of those parts all for one person at one time. I thought I would have them done but I didnt get them done. There was many things that came up that held me from getting the parts done. I cant
control that. The plenum goes out tomorrow. I gave you a great price on the parts. I dont really do this for the money I just do it to help other people out and make a little money on the side. This isnt my job, I do it in my spare time. Between work, school and other things I dont get as much spare time that I need all the time. Send your parts to me once you get the polished parts. At least I had the parts to polish here so that you wouldnt be without your car for a few weeks. Please let the people on the boards know that I didnt polish your parts off of your car and you werent without your car for a few weeks. You shouldnt have made such a big deal out of it.

You posting the emails will definetly not benefit him in any way. He says he's not doing this for money (biatch please). Who the fuck is he helping out, certainly not you. Thumper660r@aol.com - Do you think that I really care about all of this, well I dont.I dont care that I will not get any more business from this forum. Alot of the guys on this forum are a bunch of dicks, you included. I am tired of wasting my time with all of this. Send me the $100 or the original parts or you send me all of the parts and I will send you the money. Thats all I have to say.

Sun, 29 Dec 2002 14:57:47 EST
Thumper660r@aol.com - I will send you the money for the plenum if you want. But I still need you to send me the valve cover and fuel rails.

--This is from the other posts on 3Si--

12-29-2002 05:41 PM
3kgtguy - Thats the funniest thing I have ever heard. Send me all of my parts back and your money will be refunded. I cant trust anyone that I dont know. I did before but now I dont. I am not trying to lose hundreds of $ if I dont get my unpolished parts back or send me the $100 as core charge that will be refunded when the parts are recieved. I dont think you could make a court case out of this. I didnt sign anything and everything is in emails.

12-29-2002 10:43 PM
3kgtguy - I will pay for the shipping, I am not worried about the cost. I just want to be assured that I will get the unpolished parts and I will be happy. This is what I will do is send the plenum 2nd day and this will all be over. I should be able to get there tomorrow or tuesday. I will try to make to time. Once he gets the plenum he can send me the unpolished parts. Just the way we originally planned. Alright? I have been willing to work something out but I have been getting nothing but shit from everyone. Now that you (RichyT) have chilled out we can work this out.

12-31-2002 09:03 PM
3kgtguy - I made a mistake and I am sorry. I dont want to get screwed for hundreds of dollars if he doesnt send me the parts. i dont know him and it would be very easy for him to not send them. I didnt make it to fedex today. They were closed by the time I got there. I will try again tomorrow, but I am not sure if they are open. Deftspyder-I really wanted to get 2 sets of the vls kit once they came out but now I am having second thoughts.

12-31-2002 09:17 PM
3kgtguy - I am still going to get the VLS I was just joking. I have the part ready to be shipped so I am done with all of this. I cant delete any of the posts. I am not sure why. Well anyways lets just forget this happened.

01-02-2003 01:35 PM
3kgtguy - I didnt make it there on time tuesday. Yesterday they were closed. i am shipping it today. Expect to see it saturday or monday.

01-02-2003 11:31 PM
3kgtguy - Well thats funny. Fraud? How so. He got the valve cover and fuel rails a while ago and he will get the plenum monday. I would much rather have given his money back. I offered that but I guess he didnt want to. What would they do to me? Arrest me? I dont think so, at least not a 17 year old. I guess you didnt know that now did ya. I would laugh so hard if he got a lawyer and tried to sew me or whatever. It would cost him 100's if not 1000+ and he would lose anyways. I have a lawyer so I wasnt to worried about it. Well this is all over now, so I will delete all of my polishing threads.

I talked with my attorney. The fraud issue is a valid one. 17yo or not does not matter with cases of fraud. Recovery would be the original money plus any interest on it( not much) but the attorneys fees would be paid by him (or his family) since he is allowed to do this by his family. The contract is not binding because of his age but we have all the Emails and all the posts in a public forum and Emails are considered admissible evidence in court. (Remember Clinton?) The attorney said it would probably be settled out of court but to ask that the contract be fulfilled according to the original agreement. If he is not willing to do so, then my attorney would contact him (Gregory Reed) at his home in Downingtown, PA (We got his address and phone number off the FedEx Airbill he sent the other parts in) and let him know we weregoing to sue for fraud. It sounds as if he is attempting to finish the deal. I will wait to find out. I have a feeling that the next info will be that FedEx was closed or something else happened. Tuesday I must let the attorney know what happened.

Have you guys ever used an attorney before? This is my business attorney for my business contracts and medical contracts. Man, My file there was pretty large. I did not know how many legal issues my business goes through every year.

I will keep all informed.
