Questions on how to change the belts.

A friend of mine wants me to change the serpentine belt(s) in his 3000gt. I dont know what year(newer model) but i do know it is NOT a turbo. Can anyone tell me how hard it is or any special tricks? Also, lower ball joints, are they hard? I "heard" you had to replace the whole lower control arm, but i doubt that.
