Storm System Brake Kits from The Brake Man represent the lastest technology in automotive braking. Performance that works as good as they look. Look below for the latest applications available.

Components used:

Calipers: TornadoTM Series Forged Calipers. Modular construction, 1.75" X 4 or 1.50" X 4 Diameter pistons, 2 fluid transfer tubes, flows 4 times the amount of fluid than a stock caliper. Hardcoat finish for long lasting appearance and performance.

Rotors: Convoluted Design ProCast, RevolutionTM "Wave" Steel, ProCast round or HurricaneTM rotors with aluminum hats using a floating mount system. Sizes: 310mm (12.19"), 330mm (13.00") and 356mm (14.00") diameters. Hats have a hardcoat finish and rotors have a flash coat.

Pads: #62 Street or #3 Track Brake Man Compounds.

Lines: Brake Man Steel Braided Lines

Caliper Information

Our Tornado Series calipers represent the most advanced design available today. The features should be reviewed in the caliper introduction prior to reading this. Since the calipers are made from forged billet material, their rigidity and repeatability, especially at higher temperatures and harder use, cannot be matched. While they are more expensive than other calipers available, their superior performance will mean improved pad life, more trouble free performance, and far longer life for the caliper itself. Since these calipers are modular in design, they can be modified easily if you change rotor thickness, or if you need to increase or decrease brake torque. Also, since they can be used as a left side or right side caliper by simply changing the location of the inlet fitting and bleeder, you only need one spare instead of two. For any of you that wish, the calipers may be returned to us for a full factory rebuild at any time. The charge for this service is $20.00, per caliper, plus the parts necessary to renew. You may notice that we do not use stainless pistons. Our pistons offer superior performance at all operating temperatures and therefore constitute an improvement. Do not remove the gray coating from the pistons when cleaning. This coating is not only a rust inhibitor, but is also an extremely high performance dry lubricant. It is only necessary to wipe the piston with a rag to remove dirt buildup when replacing caliper seals. When the coating is worn through, the pistons should then be replaced.

The F3 Tornado, F4 Tornado and F5 Tornado calipers o?rings on either end of the crossover tube. During assembly, be sure that they are fully in their groove so that they are not pinched. The smaller calipers have o?rings between the halves and the same care must be taken to insure they are fully in their groove.

All calipers are made to replace the comparable size from our competition, however, because of our superior performance; The F3 Tornado will most likely work in many situations where the F4 Tornado is used now. This also applies for the F5 Tornado as well. If you wish to find out more about the possible use of smaller calipers, please contact "The Brake Man", tech hotline.

The best brake systems have, at their heart and soul, a great caliper. What constititues such a caliper? Fluid transfer to apply and release the pistons, combined with superior housing strength under the most severe conditions. No caliper can claim superior characteristics to the F4 Tornado, by The Brake Man. Our protected tube transfer system feeds fluid throughout the caliper evenly and faster than ever before. Tested against the best the world has to offer, this caliper outshines them all. Isn't it time you improved your speeds through superior corner handling?

The Storm Brake Pads are specifically designed to have the best, most consistent friction of any pads on the market. Bobby Archer and Bob Woodhouse are just two of the major sources suppling the fastest road racers in the country. They tell us that without a doubt, lap times remain consistent throughout the day, allowing driver confidence and control to skyrocket. Call for the technical answers that will help you improve your lap times.

bet you thought I forgot the group buy info :D

here it is these will be designed to fit on first gen and second gen VR4's and provide the most wheel clearance possible (compared to the first gen)

the kits will include the 4 piston (they do not do 6 piston as there is no need) caliper (with chrome-oly center sections at to eliminate heat fade completely, the calipers actually work better the hotter they get :p)

the uber rotors that you see in the pictures about, at least 12.5 inches in diameter with the center hats to mount up on our cars

stainless lines

stage 3 race pads in their own compound (thing EBC red's but better)

the front kits will be first if I can gather enough interest, with the rears following later (same needed for interest though)

prices

front kit
calipers
rotors and hat's
pads
stainless lines
hardware to mount up

retail $2595 plus shipping
group buy price $2100 for 5 kits $2000 for 10 plus shipping

turn around would be 4 -6 weeks once a 15% deposit is received

take the time to read through their web page, I talked to the owner of the company today and was amazed at his knowledge of braking systems this will be truly the BEST brake upgrade for a 3S ever produced, to start with this is a kit designed from the ground up for our cars not one that is just "adapted to fit"

rear kits will include the same and be approximately 400-500 dollars cheaper

please when you sign up for interest drop me a PM with info, email addy, contact phone number, mailing address, and please DO NOT sign up if you are not serious about buying this, I know it is pricey but well well worth it, again refer to the website for more info or ask questions here and I will do my best to get them answered

same surface area as a round rotor, with less weight = decreased acceleration times

glad to see there is a lot of interest in this :(

Christ Wookie, it should be simple enough to figure out why the rotors look the way they do. :rolleye1:

Will these fit my Huffy?

HiPo four wheelers have been using this style of rotors for a while. They are really amazing...they do not heat up and do NOT fade.

this is an awesome brake setup. if I had not just dropped $5k on other stuff, I would be all over these. wow...just wow...

Looked at their site.....pretty good. Seen these style rotors used with sucess in AMA motorcycle racing.

But after searching their site I was left with a question: What about heavy road course users? From what I gather they even say they don't recommend their lightweight wave rotors on heavy braking tracks.
