I just went and talked to a local shop in El Paso, TX. This shop was referred to me by Richard. I have been wanting to get my car painted from the red I bought it with to a grey.

I talked to them and picked a titanium pearl for the Jaguar. They will strip the car to metal then primer, paint it and clear coat it. $1900.00:eek:

I am taking it in next week. The new year should be here with a new car.

Thanks Richard.

Sweet. What did you think? Did they show you any of their other work? So are you getting your 3KGT or Jaguar painted?

3000. The Color is off of the jaguar scheme.

Is $1900 a good price for a quality paint job for our cars? I want to change my color to a dark blue or the stock dark purple. There's a little bit of hail damage on the trunk but that's about the only body damage.

I paid 2300 for mine but that was because they really had a lot of extra work to do to get the white off. The previous place did an extremely shoddy job and that cost me $750. So I would def say that $1900 is pretty decent, especially for what you are getting.

And put it this way, mine hasn't even been buffed out yet and it is smooth and very shiny. They did put my hood on a little weird so my pop up lights were rubbing along the hood and stripped a bit of paint off. I talked to them and they said to bring it back in and they will take care of it. 1 year warranty on that kinda stuff is pretty cool too.
