View Full Version : Stealth ES downpipe

I got my Steath ES running with the SOKO engine today!
Runs good but it has the lifter tick. Hopefully most of the noise will go away driving it around and doing that RPM thing.
The downpipe has a leak in the rear flex. I noticed Ebay has SS downpipes for the turbo versions but none for the NA.
Is there one available to replace the stock one retaining the cat converter?
Still have to go through the brakes before it hits the highway.

3SX performance and Dynamic Racing sell N/A downpipes that allow you to keep your catalytic converter.

Thanks for answering, Own a VR4.
I found a new stock OEM one for $153.00.
The car runs great and I can start using it for the 30 mile trip to work soon.

I hope you didn't buy one yet, that's a lot of money for a N/A downpipe.
Try 3Si.org and look for used N/A downpipes, you can get one for like $50.

No, I'm not a member of 3Si yet, probably both sites join soon.
Thanks for all the info your sites provide, I really appreciate it.
The front pipe is coming from The Exhaust Warehouse on EBay.

Oh well, after getting quotes from mitsubishi and dodge for $ 650.00 to
$ 740.00, I thought it was a deal.
And, as always, you find one cheaper after you buy it. :wall:
Thanks for the reply.

ROFL at Mitsubishi. $700, yeaaah okay. That's why I ******g hate Mitsubishi dealerships. They wanted $2,200 to replace my second gear syncro and give me a new clutch.
I told them to go shit in their hat...
Post up before you buy for now on, we'll let you know if you're paying what you should be. :)

LOL, they wanted $12.00 for each exhaust gasket too.
The downpipe came today and it includes the gaskets.
Looks just like the OEM but it's painted black and appears to have a cadium coating under the paint.
Thanks, I will check here before I buy again.

Has anyone had a downpipe custom made from an exhaust shop or themselves. I am curious to how well it went and performance change. I have a really great exhaust shop here in town, and when I go down to have my new Muffler put on, I am going to talk to them about making me a new downpipe for my NA. I am not willing to pay too much for one for the simple reason I will be TT'ing my stealth in the next year or so.
