I've seen a post, on 3SI board that showed a ram air technique with PVC tubing (not pipe) and duct tape and a dryer exhaust hood/vent. It looked ok but I do not know how well it worked or helped.

I have also heard that RAM air is that it isn't really that effective until you reach speeds of about 100mph and above.
Pretty much useless at lower speeds.

It would be Cold Air Intake before that though. That would be better than nothing. Also, make a cold air wall with that mod and you would be in business.

Good news and bad. The ram air worked. My 1/4 was 16.7 with ram air. 16.5 with no hood and ram air removed. Filter was so nasty from ram air wont put it back on the same way. It ran 16.9 with hood and no ram air. Gonna find a way to do it with out taping the hose to the filter so I can remove all of the bugs and shit without redoing it. Then I will take some pics.
