I am facing a dilema guys. I just came into some money and while I love the 3/S I am really tempted to go out and find a 3rd gen RX-7. I have an NA now, and if I do stay with the platform I'm probably going to upgrade myself to a VR-4 (and do a 99 conversion, oh yeah!). Seems to me that the 3/S is a lot more expensive to maintain than an RX-7 (if you treat the motor right) because of the lack of a timing belt, and more aftermarket support, etc. What I really need from you guys are some biased and unbiased opinions on what I should shoot for. I know the RX-7 is going to handle better and is a lot more rare, etc, but I love the my 3000GT. I just can't make the decision. Please help me. Oh, and fuck Supras, they are ricey, and ugly.:D

I like the look and performance of the 3K.

Maybe you could keep your NA and buy an RX-7. They are sweet cars. No good for long trips, unless you pack very light. Search some RX-7 forums and you'll find out what the maintenance is like on them.

I would def upgrade to a VR4. Looks and performance are all there. I think they are much better cars also. You can't mess with the AWD.

I have heard it is too difficult to reliably hook the RX7's up. I don't know from any first hand experience though.
I do love the look of the RX7s. HOT.
However, I personally would pick the VR4 over just about everything else out there simply because of the AWD.
