Okay, so I replaced my T.Stat, and that stopped the surging...

But it is running out of coolant now - it will deposit continually into the overflow reservior, but not withdraw. I put on another new t.stat trying to eliminate that problem (if it didn't to it before, then the new variable is usually the culprit...) I replaced the radiator cap with one of those safety ones so that I could escape the air when it runs out, trying to create a vaccume to withdraw; but that still does not work...

I do not see any leaks, and I am not noticing any oil in the water or water in the oil...

Please help...

You were dead on about the fuse on mine... when it got a bit warmer the next morning, and light enough outside, I popped in a replacement for fuse #3 and it fixed it right up!

As for yours, I no freakin' idea.... radiator fan relay maybe?

take it to a shop and get them to check the water pump. You may not see any leaking but it still could be. I have been having problems with mine overheating, so when I took it to go get my oil changed I asked them to check for any leaks but when they did they said they couldnt find any but a few weeks latter my water pump would just poor out anti freeze. So im taking it to an auto shop this monday to get it fixed.

sorry, can't be of much help other than throwing in: plugged up line?

IT could be that - on a line that I am not seeing... The line to the overflow reservoir is not plugged, because it deposits a great ammount...

Does anyone have a schematic I can look at to see the water travel through the NA DOHC engine?

i can't find one in the manual. the part where you have excessive over flow stumps me. i had an over heating problem and a simple flush fixed it along with a bottle of redline water wetter, which i hear really helps keep the engine cooler.
