i installed the momo millenium evolution steering wheel. it looks phenomenal! i'm truly pleased with it and always get compliments. i lost my horn function... something i'm going to have to fix. also lost the cruise control temporarily. i'll have it reinstalled under my dash. i take long trips in the stealth sometimes. it complements my silver dash gauges nicely too ;)

the dsm ic's are great. they're so much larger than the stock ones. we had a bit of a fitment problem on the passenger side because of the motor for the headlights. it took us around 3 hrs to work it out. the driver side one turned out much easier to work with. we were able to retain the oil cooler in the stock location. i'm very pleased with it. it dropped my knock down 7 pts. i didn't take any pics of the ic's. the welds aren't pretty. lol. but they're holding very well. i got the work done for free. (i was also working on them) so i got my dsm ic upgrade for 60 bucks :)

How many hours did it take for the alumn. welding?

it took probably 2 hrs total to cut off all the pipes, another 3 to set up a jig, then probably 3 more hrs of welding the ic pipes on, another 2 to cut up and weld caps for the holes from the stockers, then another 2 to put them in, tack weld the brackets and then final weld them.

it was a very time consuming project. this wasn't even all done within one day. it's easily a weekend project. i didn't count in the couple hours we used to cut the pipes to size and reweld them.

that's looks interesting, but from my experience... those "as seen on tv" products never live up to their name.

Looks awesome. I was tempted to get the same wheel but I think I am going to go with the Momo Jet instead. How hard was it to pull the wheel?

there's no way to just "pull" the wheel off. u'll want to rent a steering wheel puller from ur local auto parts store. mine came off easily with the puller. i can't even imagine how strong i'd have to be to pull it off.

it's two little inserts...total of 3 sq in. no huge bulge in the center of the wheel. looks more performance than the millenium EVO IMO...

Exactly what I was going for. How do you like your wheel? I saw a few of your pictures, they look sweet. :)

i wasn't going for performance. the evo is more about style :)

I just yanked it off after i got the nut undone....all the steering wheel threads on "that other" 3S website said no puller was needed. I just unbolted it and worked it off in about 1 minute

I had to use a puller to. tried without it and it was a bitch. I can't get my MOMO hub off now without a puller.

Sounds like you need to hit the gym! ;)

PS: i looked at the millenium evo wheel too, but it just reminded me too much of an OEM wheel. IMHO the Jet is the sickest wheel momo makes..

What about the MOMO race wheel? I also think that wheel will looks cool, but the problem is that we lose our safety air bags. That is just a risk we have to take.
