The power(Batt.) goes to a constant on power source.
The ignition(Ign.) goes to a switched on power source. This is where you would tap into the fuse box.
The ground can be attached to the factory grounding point or any other screw into metal that makes good contact.
The 4th is probably lights(dimmer). I'm not 100% sure on the color of the factory wire to connect this to as it changed from time to time. But it is one of the ones coming off of the dimmer switch in the lower left corner of the dash. It can be reached from behind.

If someone knows the factory wire colors from the stereo harness, you could just tap into the factory wires for these and it'll save a lot of time.

ok thanks one las question...how would i tap into the fuse box??
well the guy before me tore up the inside....all that is in there is the speaker wires, that big power thingy, and the ground wire....he left all his amp crap all in there....at least i know he had good ones....fosgate lol....

you can do it one of two ways....
easy way... just find the fuse for something that only works with the ignition turned on. then pull the fuse and put the wire in one of the slots where the blade would go for the fuse. then just push the fuse in. unless you smoke or use your cig lighter with something that has a high currant draw, i find this is the best one to tap into.
the right way would be to find the 'hot' wire to the fuse box from the ignition switch that completes the circuit. that way you arent taking away from any of the other systems in the car. or possibly causing an overload and fuses to blow.

ok i got everything hooked up...but the sterio only comes on for 2 sec then it turns off.....now would that be just a faulty sterio or did i do somthing wrong?? or do i need to hook up the speakers....i don't think i need to do that though

Hmm... could either be the stereo,
or you are not getting good contact or the source you tapped into doesnt get enough current flow to it.
If you want to check the stereo itself, jsut hook the acc wire up to the power wire. This should cause it to stay on all the time.

acc wire??
edit---last night i hooked it up to the battery directly, just batt and the ground and it was doing the same thing...

the ACC wire is the one which connects to switched on power. Its usually a yellow or orange wire coming from the head unit. It must be attached to a power source.
