So this past weekend, I replaced the first and second gear blocking ring in my transmission. Everything was great when I got the car back together, but then I realized my reverse lights weren't working. I checked the harness to make sure its plugged in. I also checked the fuse and bulbs to make sure they're not blown.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'd like to troubleshoot as much as I can before I go out and buy a new backup light sensor. I REALLY hope I put everything back together exactly the way they were supposed to be in that tranny. If someone has pictures of what the sensor looks like inside case, and/or the sensor itself I'd appreciate it.

just a question that needs to be clarified, but you DID plug it back into the tranny correct?

Yes I did. I was really hoping that I forgot to plug it back in, because that would be an easy fix. But no, I was playing with harness, shaking it around to see if I could get anything. I've gotten a few more ideas i'm going to try out.

Did you jump the sensor to make sure everything down the loom is good?

It would suck to replace the sensor only to find it wasn't the problem.
