ok thought it wastime for some real car talk in here. so i decided to post a fewQ's and some of my idea about my next upgrade. new stock coils new wires the best plugs NGK makes for our cars and an MSD dis-4, along with that the exhaust mid pipe from 2.1 to 2.5 inches. some torque will be gained with the ignition, and some hp with the pipe, probably jsut a few hp, all around, and 1 if any torque. i'm also getting a lightweight underdrive pulley, from ebay, has anyone gotten one yet? i wonder y their so much cheaper than say IPO? or 3sx?... u guys should post more, let us kno what's up with your car and if you've seen any cool parts and such lately!!!

The crank pulleys found on the internet scare me. I would trust IPO or 3SX withtheir products but not unknown ebay sellers. Something goes wrong with one of those and there will be problems. The reason they cost ?$89? is IMO quality is crap. I would personally go with a 3SX pulley. Im looking at these right now as well.

With the ignition, i would go with the 8.5mm MSD wires along with the DIS-4.

The mid pipe will be good.

3SX claims that the underdrive pully gets most of it's power gain from being light wieght and that the power gains from slowing your accesories(sp?) is negligable. I don't know how much truth there is to that claim but if you have a stereo in your car you may want to consider going with the stock dia. light wieght pully that 3SX makes. If anyone has used one or both of these products please drop some info I'm trying to make a desision on this, too.

I wouldn't trust an unknown pully either, if it fails, you'll trash the engine. I'd also go MSD 8MM wires. IPO sells sets that he puts together for a really good price. I have them on my car and they're great. Go with the NGK coppers, IPO sells them also.

Yeah IPO kicks ass. Buy his stuff. He has the best prices and he deserves the business.

Hey Toolman-- Did you notice that your car performed better with the msd wires? Im looking at upgrading the ignition on the car, and was wondering if there was a noticable difference in any aspect of the car's behavior.

I went with MSD Super Conductors and NGK Copper and I replace the plugs every 5K

I did a grounding kit too, and I believe it had better response at launch, and my idle smoothed out. It could just all be in my mind though, you know how that works.
