3000gts are awesome and i love my car, but after owning one for a year, there are some things i don't love about it. for one the turning radius could be a lot better. making u-turns can sometimes be a gamble; i might need to go into reverse then correct and go back into 1st to complete an especially tight u turn. i have driven two first gen vr4's before and they seem to have a better radius, but you need to turn the steering wheel more than my car and my only experience driving a 2nd gen is mine. another thing is the fuel economy. having a 3,800 lb car with a pretty powerful engine, you could expect not to have honda like mpg. seems like everytime my right foot gets happy, i need to fill up. enough bitching and moaning, time to get to the questions:
1) how could i improve my turning radius? tire adjustments? suspension pieces? i have no idea.
2) how can i improve my mpg? i have heard that a magic electronic box could help a lot. in sport compact car magazine's 2002 ultimate street car challenge, there was a contender with a 1996 vr4 spyder who made 31.3 miles per gallon. hmmm sounds pretty awesome. he did have an unichip piggyback ecu, would that be the reason he is up there with the economy of civics?
thanks!

I highly doubt we could get that MPG without destroying our performance... The cylinders are just plain too large.
As far as turning radius, my 2gen stealth is also a beast, and I too have noticed that 1gens seem to be tighter (probably due to the AWS.) The problem though is that we have a relatively high polar moment on extremely wide cars... I think the only way you are going to decrease your turning radius is to make your car AWS, or to find some way to increase the rotation angle of your front tires - a task that you would be insane to take up.

As far as MPGs, make sure you're tuned up, plugs, wires, filter ect. That will make a big difference.

Running extremely lean via my fuel controller with brand new wires/plugs, the best I can hope for is like 26-28MPG on the highway without using my foot at all only going 75MPH.
