Turbo Stratus????

Just saw one of these today. I had no idea that Dodge built one of these. Does anybody have any info on them?

Interesting- I just went to the Dodge dealership last week and picked up an '03 brochure on the Stratus. They have a 24V, RT DOHC, and that was what they have listed as the "top" Stratus! They are sweet cars.

And I guess the Elipse and Stratus are the same cars too- The inside of the Stratus is identicle to the Eclipse. I think the Sratus looks a lot better too.

I had never heard of one either but it had a Turbo badge on the passenger door. Don't know if the engine was the DOHC but I would assume so.

old stories from 98 and '01.. I wonder if they just decided against it. At some point it also sounded as if they were talking about an after market turbo. Remeber the Plymouth Breeze.....? It IS the Dodge Status- They give the Breezes a make over and changed the name, but don't know what year that was. I wonder if the turbo was a Non-US car? The cockpit and room is nice in 'em.

I think the 'turbo" ones are from south of the border, Mexico.

I agree. I wonder if anybody has any stats on these and how easily they can be modded.

I think they have a big after-market support-especially if the Eclipse and Stratus have inter-changable parts like a 3/S.
An RT would definatley make a good daily driver.
