Anybody versed or understand how to do this? I tried entering a bunch of metatags and submitted to google, not much comes up. How can I fix this?

All search engines have different policies. I forget the specifics on Google. But I have noticed that a page of mine was listed about 2 weeks after I took it down. It probably takes that long to index the whole 'net.
I lost my promotion guidebook  :( when my last corporate internet job went bankrupt. It listed everything you needed to know about 10 or so of the top search engines. On some, you can only post 1 page per day...stuff like that.
If ya want a lot of hits, make some hidden doorway pages. We developed a Cold Fusion program that created pages from keywords that we listed. For example, if you searched for 'cars', our page would come up with a link to related info on our site. We had 5 different links on each page (the program cycled the words for us :D ). It worked well because we had a lot of different info on our site. I'm not sure how well it would work on a smaller, focused site.

Man, you lost me at "All search engines have different policies". Can you try that again please?

lol
Ok, what is the purpose of your meta-tags? When you mentioned Google, I assumed you're using them for search engine hits.
The main points are that Google takes about 2 weeks to 'refresh' its listings. C'mon, its only 2 billion pages, right? Anyway, you've prolly been to the link below. check out their spiel.
Google submission page (http://www.google.com/addurl.html)
Only the top-level page from a host is necessary; you do not need to submit each individual page. Our crawler, Googlebot, will be able to find the rest. Google updates its index on a regular basis, so updated or outdated link submissions are not necessary. Dead links will 'fade out' of our index on our next crawl when we update our entire index.

Thanks. I get it now. So know, if you go to my mainpage at us3s.com, I have the flash intro, that is where I placed my metatags. Is this the correct place or should I place them somewhere else? I guess you can view source to see them.

That looks good. A couple more you could add are 'SL' and 'TT' without the 'RT/'. Oh yeah, how about '1G', '2G', '1st gen', '2nd gen', etc.
I tried a combo of your keywords with no us3s results. Maybe they haven't added your site yet? Check out the other search engines and follow their guidelines for submission.

You need to have commas between your keyword items in the meta tag. Also, another trick is to slap a bunch of text at the bottom of the page in the same color as the background. Kinda lame, but it helps, lots of search engines go on frequency of words to increase their rating in a search engine. However, google won't release how it REALLY works, but I'm sure it would help your score a bit.

Another trick is to have the page with all the keywords on it have a meta tag that refreshes after a second to the page with the Flash file on it. That way, people only see it for a second and they don't get distracted or see the search engine work-around you're using.
Dammit, I could kill myself for not making a PDF of the promotions manual I had!!!
