I'm trying to run my 2 guage power wire and having troubles, I don't know how to get the rear passenger side panel in back by the seats to come off, or should I not do that and send it another way? Also any other ideas or tips would be appreciated.
Thanks Dan

the curved black panel with the speaker grilles on it? lemme see. 1 under the seat in front theres a screw to take out. kind of lift up on the seat there and youll see it. 2 where the seat belt goes to on the side theres a screw, that takes off a black piece of plastic then theres another screw behind that. 3 where the seat belt goes to on the back part of the panel where theres a black mound theres a screw there then pry the black mount up and theres 3 more screws in there. 4 fold the seats forward and theres some screws on the side of the panel there. and ya id run the power wire down one side of the car and the rca patch cables down the other side of the car, so theyre far apart.

yeah, indeed, has this site and a bunch of others as helpful links. looked around a lot but couldn't find it, where do you run the power wire itself through the firewall, you have to drill behind the batt, and if so there any wires I'm going to have to worry about jacking up or lines or anything like that?

no you dont have to drill a hole through the firewall. use an existing hole. i used one of the ones toward the passenger side corner. right behind the battery but towards the corner. fold back some of the carpet on the inside of the car and look up, keep feeding the line till you can see it and bring it through. sinse youll be using a hole thats already on the firewall there are already wires going through it. cut some of the rubber away so you can fit the cable through and just be careful not to slice into any of the wires there.

I took out the battery already and tried to see something, but it seems that all the holes are plugged, I'll try the other way tomorrow, will you see light after I poke a larger hole in the wire thing through that? I'm also using 2 gauge, so will that be a problem or is there enough room...also where does the thing come out in the engine compartment, right behind the battery or a littlw lower, over what?
Lol, sorry, I just spent all day getting the panel off, figure whatever help I can get on the car would be a nice relief, these cars are really a pain to work on, mainly stereo wise.

ok, I went ahead and tried that this morning but when I pulled the carpet back there is still a rubber matting underneith it... I tried looking up under the dash but couldn't see anything really, and I think I did see teh rubber you were talking about though from the other side, there's a wire spool coming through it and it's right on the firewall just below the heigth of hte battery. It's a pretty big plug so once I figure out how to get to it I'm going to try to see if I can pull the wire through it without cutting the gromet at all...I already have a slim line battery connecter on the end of it so that should make it easier. I just don't get where in the hell that thing is..do I have to take the glove box or some other part of the dash out to get to it? Or the rubber floor lining too?

i think the only thing i took out was the black plastic cover that is right under the glove box. 3 gold screws i think.

lol, I'll have to try that in the morning...I tried to get my hands up in there and got them stuck on that think and couldn't get loose cause it was my right hand so I coudln't reach the screwdriver with the other, by the time I got my hand loose it'd cut the entire top of the knucle off, all that loose flesh is now gone, bastard car...lol, I'll try that..and how easy is it to see from there once I get that off? BTW...aren't any other suprises in this car that are going to be like booby traps are there?

once you get the black cover thats right under the glove box off, you can see up a lot better from beneath. but even then its really cramped up there like the rest of our car is. not much room for movement.
