Hi, I am new to these forums and wanted to ask a couple questions. I am considering buying a 3kgt, and I was wondering what everyone is getting in the quarter for a 94+ stock SL. How reliable are these cars?

A 1994 SL will run low 15's in the ¼ mile if it is manual, and low 16's if it is an automatic. Those are stock times and every car will vary.
Reliabile? A 3000GT or Stealth? Well this kind of depends on alot, like previous maintence and such. It has been my experience that they are anything but reliable. I have put more money into this car for repairs than my old car (a 1986 Cavalier:rolleyes: ). That is a little skewed comparing a cavalier to a higher end sports car, I know, but my old cavalier was a very reliable car. If you are looking for a reliable car, a 3/S is not a great choice. If you want a fun, rare car than a 3/S is an excellent choice!

Right now I have a ford probe SE, and I was considering buying a probe gt or 3kgt. I like the way the 3kgt looks, but I need a reliable car. If the car hasn't really been race and has 100,000 miles, how much longer do you think it will last before something major needs to be repaired? All the tuneups have been done.

No one knows. The car is as reliable as its treated. It's not any LESS reliable (considering it's NA) than ANY other car.
The engine is stout to be honest.

Thanks for answering my questions. From the general attitude, I was concerned these cars were prone to breaking. But if they are just as reliable as any other, I hope to get one soon. Just got to get the cash up.....lol. These cars are pretty expensive.

The car was expensive so expect repairs and replacement parts to be expensive to.
Yes, general attitudes are sometimes wrong. :)

Yeah I agree with DJAuggie. I didnt neccessarily mean the 3/S is unreliable, its just that when something does go wrong, your gonna pay alot more than you would with a probe or something.
