Does anybody know where to find a decent supercharger for a DOHC?
I only know of one person who has one. Is it just a simple bolt on or would it require some other modifications to work on our car?

You would need all new forged internals, fuel pump, bigger injectors and the list goes on and on. It's cheaper to buy a TT. ask Super C.

i have all of the above except for the injectors.
Remember though, the SC will improve your bottom end acceleration while the turbo improves top end.

the S/C will improve both bottom and top, due to it being driven by the engine via a pulley(so it has no lag), while turbos have to wait until there is a good amount of EG's to spool thats why they mostly suck in the lower RPM ranges(why do you think they have kits for 9k RPM redlines?!)
but a S/C won't prolly pull as hard as it will off the line, as it will from say a 70 mph roll...
thats why NAAWWSSS is BEST :car:PSSSHHT PSSSHHT

Knight turbos offers a SC kit. www.boosthead.com and you could keep the psi down to 5 and still run your stock config. Personally myself, I am dropping compression to 9.5:1 (DOHC) w/forged internals and running 8-9. Right now I am installing a LSD to make the SC usable. Of course Ripp mods wants to have their SC unit out in a couple months, initially for SOHC but following up for the DOHC as they are similar.

You guys gotta remember tho, Super C SC'd a SOHC motor, not a DOHC. The DOHC is probably better suited to the supercharger that the SOHC.

Why put a supercharger on our cars? Don't you get a good deal more power with a TT and less cost?

i paid $4 ,000 for my sl and a thomas knight sc kit cost $2,000 + accesories
i could never find a vr4/tt for less than 12-10G.

Hey if your still considering a supercharger, check out RIPP. They have a post on *cough* 3SI.org *cough*. We need a few more people to jump on to get the project rolling. It will run you around $3000 but includes everything (minus headers).
