eclipse ic's and 94-98 dashboards

I heard somewhere on here or on 3si that the eclipse's side-mount IC's are bigger than the 91 vr4's. is that true? if it is bigger can it be made to fit on the vr4 and what kinda advantages will i gain. i was just wondering cus i have a friend selling his stock IC's off his eclipse.

And another dumb question. Will a later generation dash fit in the 91 vr4? its kind of odd to ask but all i can tell you is that it has something to do wit the passenger side airbag. sorry for the long post. any answers will be appreciated.

They will work but will need modifications to fit. The brackets do not fit our cars.

I think they do not fit because of the airbag but I am not sure.

Not much mods are needed. You should get one and compare it to ours. See for yourself. The problem is that these IC's are aluminum and welding takes a special welder.
