This problem shows up every once in a long while. When I come to a stop my RPMs die down, and the car stalls (also happened a few times after I parked the car after a couple of 1/4 mile runs). I know I have the clutch all the way in (or gear in N). When I start the car back up it takes a while for it to turn over, and it smells pretty rich. I've only had this problem for 2-3 months. It started when the clutch release hose broke, and my car sat there for a few days. Do you guys think that when the clutch hose broke the fluid leaked on to an oxygen sensor, damaging it? Could it be an O2 sensor problem at all? Or maybe spark plug problem? I have no idea so if anyone has any ideas, let me know. Thanks a bunch.

Pull your 02 sensor off and clean it out. See if that works.

What is the mileage and any other mods besides the k&N?

About 63,000 miles. No other mods except for a turbo timer and boost gauge (split into the bypass valve line). The plug gaps have been checked, and oil changed.

Was the 60000 mile service done to the car? It is probably old 02 sensors anyways. You may need to change them.

60K was done, but the spark plugs weren't replaced. Just checked to see if the gap is still correct on them. Yeah, the O2's are probably old or something...the car has been running a little rich (very low mieage) since I bought it.
